Cisco Networking Academy INVESTINDO NO AMANHÃ Desenvolvendo talento tecnológico de nova geração O programa Cisco Networking Academy (NetAcad) o maior investimento social da Cisco no suporte ao desenvolvimento de carreiras na área das tecnologias, fundamentais para acelerar a transformação digital. Presente em dezenas de instituições educativas como Institutos Politécnicos, Universidades, Escolas Profissionais e Escolas Secundárias, o NetAcad conta também com parcerias firmadas com outras instituições como o IEFP, IAPMEI, IGFEJ, INCoDe.2030 e o Programa Escolhas, entre outras. Lançado em outubro de 1997, o programa NetAcad ficou disponível em Portugal em 1999, e desde então até ao final do ano passado contou com mais de 47.000 alunos. Nos últimos três anos, no âmbito do Programa Country Digital Acceleration (CDA), acelerámos o desenvolvimento do Programa NetAcad, tendo registado neste período mais de 20.000 estudantes que participaram num ou mais cursos, correspondendo a mais de 2.000.000 horas de formação. No ano letivo passado, mais de 10.000 alunos fizeram um curso. Acreditamos que este número crescente de participantes contribui e contribuirá para o esforço de digitaliza o do país e para o aumento de competências digitais em áreas como a cibersegurança, redes, sistemas operativos, programação, automação de infraestruturas, entre outras. Cisco Networking Academy INVESTING IN TOMORROW Developing next generation new talent Cisco (NetAcad) program is Cisco’s biggest social investment to support career development in technologies critical to accelerate digital transformation. Present in dozens of education institutions like Polytechnic Institutes, Universities, Vocational Schools and Secondary Schools, NetAcad is also delivered by institutions like IEFP, IAPMEI, IGFEJ, INCoDE.2030 and Programa Escolhas. Launched in October 1997, NetAcad became available in Portugal in 1999. Since then and until the end of the past Academic year, it had more than 47,000 students. In the context of the Country Digital Acceleration (CDA) program, NetAcad’s development was accelerated, having registered more than 20,000 students that have participated in one or more courses, corresponding to more than 2,000,000 learning hours. During the last Academic year alone, more than 10,000 students benefited from at least one course. We believe this growing participants’ number contributes to the digitization effort of the country and to increase digital skills in areas like cybersecurity, networking, operating systems, programming, infrastructure automation, among others.
